Hi, I'm Karen Thakuria, founder of From Doing To Being.
I understand what it's like to feel successful on paper but struggling inside. To be constantly busy yet never feel like you're doing enough. To move through life on autopilot, disconnected from what truly matters to you.
Because I've been there too.
Like many of the people I work with, I once lived in a state of constant doing. Always achieving, always moving, always trying to meet everyone else's expectations. It wasn't until I experienced my own period of overwhelm and disconnection that I truly understood the exhaustion that comes from living this way.
This personal experience, combined with my clinical training and experience, led me to develop my approach. It's about creating space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with who you really are beneath all the doing.
I'm a qualified Occupational Therapist with a clinical foundation in mental health, built over the past 13 years.
My approach is trauma-informed, compassion focused therapy-informed and values-led, recognising that true wellbeing comes from aligning your daily life with what matters most to you.
I combine evidence-based therapeutic techniques with practical, grounded tools that help you:

- Reconnect with your values and desires
- Make choices from intention rather than obligation
- Create sustainable ways of being that honour both your responsibilities and your wellbeing
