That's completely normal and a great place to start. Many people begin with a vague sense that something needs to change.
We can explore this before your first session in a free 20 minute call and we'll always review as we work through sessions. You don't need to have it all figured out before we start.
Absolutely not. Taking care of yourself before things become unmanageable is one of the kindest things you can do for yourself and those around you.
I might offer practices or reflections to explore between sessions, but these are always invitations, not obligations. After each session, you'll receive a follow-up email with key insights and any resources we discussed, but you're free to engage with what feels right and leave what doesn't. You know what you have capacity for and we'll plan sessions at a pace that works for you.
Most of my sessions will be offered via video calls, but I'm happy to meet in person if you're local to Urmston and that would suit you better - please enquire to discuss further.

Occupational Therapists are experts in supporting you to find the meaning in the things you do every day, finding out what’s most important to you, and identifying solutions to any barriers that stop you doing what's meaningful.
Occupational therapy is a science-based health and social care profession that's regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council.
Please let me know as soon as possible. I know how important it is to find a good fit and for you to feel safe when we're working together. Our work should feel helpful, and if it doesn't we can explore what needs to change or how I can adjust my approach. If I'm not the right fit for you, I can support you in finding someone who might be. Your well-being is what matters most, and that means being honest about what's working and what isn't.
Every Sunday I share reflections, tips, and prompts on different topics to support you to build your own meaningful self-care practices and routines. When you sign up, you'll also be first to hear about any special events and offers.
I invite you to take what you need each week and leave anything that isn't right for you.
Karen 💜
